Here is the info on the ranch for anyone who has not been there: www.ramblerranch.com
Rambler Ranch is a car lovers dream to visit. In addition to the 600 cars, there are thousands of different types of car memorabilia to see. A tour through the Nash building brings back memories for many visitors. I think everybody’s grandmother drove a Rambler!
There are five major buildings on the grounds plus a number of outbuildings and garages. The largest building is home to 107 AMC cars and tons of AMC memorabilia. In 2010 a complete working Kelvinator kitchen was added with seating for 50 and 2 restrooms. The Kitchen can be used for meetings or eating if the weather does not permit an outdoor picnic.
In 2011 a full replica Sinclair gas station was build with additional picnic seating and in 2012 an additional commercial style kitchen was added for event use. Also in 2012 a new building containing the many appliances was added. A new library on wheels (soon to be replaced by a library building) was added as well. And they have a great Bone Yard to wonder through.
They do charge $15 per person and it is not open to the public. Terry is a great guy and you will enjoy the day and he will make you feel very welcome.
It is located in Elizabeth. 36370 Forest Trail in Elizabeth. May 14 at 10AM. So here is the plan:
Meet at 9AM at the Loaf n Jug at 9028 Woodman Dr, Parker, CO 80134 (Parker Road and Cottonwood just north of C-470). Drive down Parker Road to Franktown and hang a left at the light. Drive on out to Elizabeth.
If you are coming from the south and just want to meet at the ranch then that is cool. Just be there by 10AM.
And then we could do lunch at the Stagecoach (Biker Bar) in Franktown unless someone has a better idea.
I need a head count and RSVP by May 8th. So please let me know if you are coming and if you want lunch.
